Processor: Intel® Core™ i5-6500 CPU 3.20GHz × 4 I can't see anything that catches my relatively untrained eye, and googling hasn't turned up anything that seems in line with my build. Info below, any thoughts or debugging tips greatly appreciated. It's strange behavior - I'll be cruising along no problem, and then speeds will plummet to 0, or I'll get up to 50% package loss, until I turn off and on wifi, which fixes the problem about 80% of the time. Update: Bluetooth seems to similarly not exist.I've been plagued by intermittent and slow wifi speeds on 16.04 with this card, although it performs flawlessly in Windows 10 on the same machine. This is the very last thing I need to do before I'm done with the initial setup so it's really frustrating that I can't get it to work. Using Ethernet long-term is not an option.
The Bluetooth driver on the disc wasn't working at all, I got an error saying that the proper hardware wasn't present, but I was able to install the Windows 10 version from the website and will be attempting to configure that while waiting for replies here.
Used both the CD driver and downloaded the Windows 10 version using Ethernet to no avail. I've installed the software that came with the mobo to try properly set stuff up with Windows 10 but it's not working. I'm running Windows 10 Education Edition. This is really throwing me for a loop and any help would be greatly appreciated. The really interesting part though is that there's a USB drive on the card for some reason, and when I plug my mouse receiver into that the mouse works. There's not even an option for wireless networks. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the driver half a dozen times to no avail. It's a Gigabyte GC-WB867D-I, and as far as I can tell the computer just doesn't know it's there. So I just got the last few components and have successfully assembled my first build ever! Shockingly, everything seemed to work on the first try, but I'm having an issue with the wireless card.
